The 2024 Convention Planning Committee in Southern California is very pleased to present one of the most exciting Conventions ever for our Friends and Members – “California Dreaming.” You can register online or visit the “Convention Registration Form” box above to download a PDF and register by paper/postal mail.
Our Convention locale is the beautiful City of Long Beach, centrally located in the heart of Southern California. With its sparkling waterfront, diverse architecture and perfect weather, Long Beach has been a popular destination for decades. Our two hosting hotels are the Holiday Inn (Long Beach Airport) and the Staybridge Suites, both offering gourmet meals and free shuttle service from Long Beach Airport and excellent accessibility with the LAX and John Wayne Airports. Staybridge Suites include breakfast. Both hotels are on the very same property and immediately next to each other, just a few steps away, so feel free to choose the one you prefer. A GREAT National Show will take place, with a huge variety of beautifully grown begonias at the height of the California growing season, including some full-grown tuberous specimens! The show includes a division for At-Risk species begonias; a list of eligible Begonia species is provided. Our planned seminars will include delightful, as well as educational, discussions on care and culture. The incomparable tours will include a incredible members’ gardens, award-winning nurseries, and exquisite private and public botanical collections. Come and spend time with your Friends while being inspired by some of the finest specimens of our favorite unusual and rare plants, many available at our huge Begonia Sale!
